Despite devastating setbacks, New York City and the Strava Run community share a commonality of rising to the occasion, regardless of circumstances. If you're up for the challenge, Strava is motivating you to run a marathon; 26.2 miles in a single run, any day between November 4th-11th. To see your hard work pay off, Strava will donate $10 for every Challenge Finisher (up to $10,000) to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Q: When do I have to complete the marathon?
A: You can run 26.2 miles in a single run any day between November 4th-11th.

Q: Do I have to run in New York?
A: No, you can run your marathon anywhere you want.

Q: Can I run multiple times to add up to 26.2 miles?
A: No, you have to run 26.2 miles in a single run (just like you do at a marathon).

Q: What if I ran on Sunday, November 4th, will that count?
A: Yes! For those who ran with GPS or Strava mobile app on November 4th, your run will indeed count.

Q: Is there a time limit for the marathon/26.2 miles?
A: Yes, there is an 8 hour time limit to complete the 26.2 miles.

Q: Are there prizes?
A: Each challenge finisher will get a digital finisher badge and certificate. Strava will also donate $10 for every Challenge Finisher (up to $10,000) to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
